Profit from experience
Welcome to the Blue Dot Blog. My name is Michael Austin and I’m the chief executive of Blue Dot Consulting, a firm of Chartered Accountants based in South West London.
The blog aims to share my experience of 30 odd years working in different businesses so that you can benefit from it too. You’ll find hints and tips, practical examples and QuickBooks video tutorials on the blog site.
A little more about me and about Blue Dot
Prior to setting up Blue Dot in 2001, I spent 10 years as finance director of a range of businesses operating in the UK and internationally. I trained with Ernst & Young and worked with them for 6 years. My experiences enable me to add insight and value to businesses and business owners whatever their stage of development.
Blue Dot specialises in accounting and financial management for businesses and provides tax advice for companies and individuals. Our people have all worked in the cut and thrust of the real business world, not just in accountancy firms. As a consequence, we have a great breadth and depth of experience. We could be your entire finance team, from bookkeeper to finance director, or simply fill in the gaps around your current team.
You’ll find me on LinkedIn and won’t miss that I am an avid football fan, cycling enthusiast and raggedy golfer.
